The Gryphon Taint Volume Two continues the story of Hanicke and her new friends, facing adventures and threats each in their own way, and showing us more of the world they inhabit in the process, as well as giving us a better view of how it all works. Karen Frontain once again shows herself to be an imaginative author with a powerful storytelling talent and a wicked sense of humor. It’s a wonderful sword-and-sorcery fantasy, and I highly recommend it.

An electrifying trip that captured my imagination from the very start. The ugly princess is not ugly anymore! The romance between Maggot and the volatile Prince Ugoth heats up and I found myself attached to these two as Frontain's intricate and spellbinding plot played out. Even the minor characters fought to retain a mark in my memory as with the knight Captain Luedger and the eccentric Abbott Herfod. From start to finish, I could not bring myself to put this book down until reality forced me to!
