Description:

Islam: The Facts was written as a response to the many questions that arose after September 11. It is appropriate for anyone seeking answers to questions about Islam. If you have ever wondered what the truth really is about so many of the issues that hit the headlines these days, such as why Muslim women wear the veil, what Muslim women’s rights are, what exactly is Jihad, and what Muslims believe, this book is for you. "Skinner manages to convey all this in plain English that, despite the reference book context, comes from the heart — she deftly puts across the basic tenets of Islam while maintaining that crucial 'personal touch' that keeps the reader involved and engaged."       — Paul Fontaine-Nikolov

true-hearted and trustworthy [ No Rating ] 6 Jan 2006 (updated 6 Jan 2006)

“Islam: The Facts” is an outstanding book. It changes previous influenced ideas, which to be exact are underhanded and unjust. The author has a voice that rings true and clear, to reach all those wanting to find out the truth about Islam. The author is English, which means no language barriers exist. Being a native speaker of English language, I found this book easy to relate to and understand. In a just world truth should be spoken, this book paves the way to a true understanding of Islam.
A must have!

As expected from the preview,"Islam: The Facts" has incorporated many aspects of Islam in simple, easy to grasp English. This book is an excellent addition to my liberary. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about Islam. Or simply wants to have answers for their children about current news-making events. I am honored to know the writer first-hand. I have shared with her in her passion and deligence, and actually experienced with her the birth of this book. I am happy to witness this "baby" of hers finally make its debut.
A page turner!

No matter what your take is on Islam, You will enjoy this book. Few books combine decisiveness as well as readability. If you have an interest in Islam or muslims you will appreciate the variety of topics and the ease with which the writer moves from one chapter to the next. Most of all I loved the stories at the end- they are life changing experiences. Read this book to gain true insight into a controvertsial issue in our times which remains largely misunderstood by mainstream thought.
