May was quite the lady losing her husband that way and believing she was broke and all. At least it led her to a great carer. What I can't understand is how someone runs into a planet. I was very sad for Cloie's parents but the squadron paid their respects in the old air force fashion. I'm not sure a pilot rates a squadron flyover but it was a nice touch. Liked the ending. After all that adventure she deserved a quiet life. Vance.

I was an orphan but got lucky and was adopted by some very nice people. They raised me as their natural child. I can feel for May because I know what a hard life I would have had if I had not been adopted at age twelve. Her short marrage left me in tears. My first one didn't work out very well but the second go around I got a wonderful husband and now have two wonderful children. I really enjoyed May's adventures and wonder if a woman would have written the book in the same manner. I know Melvin personally so won't leave my name. He is a great guy and always polite and helpful. I believe he has to love his May to write such a touching story.

A corageouos Young woman who does her thing in spite of all. Really loved the pirate scenes and the visits to the orphanage.
I cried when Cloie died. Overall, a very good read.
