Description:I believe this little girl is the daughter of the sari shop owner. This is in a very busy intersection in the neighborhood called Indra Chowk in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is an old neighborhood where locals come to shop for garments, traditional metal wares for worshipping or cooking, jewelery and just about anything else there is to sell. Saris are traditional women's garment made of yards of material traditionally made of silk chiffon that is artfully draped around the hips and over the shoulder. It has been worn for thousands of years in Nepal and India. Keywords:Listed in: |
