Description:

A wonderful book of Poetry by Addie W. Williams, who died in August. 2003. Her poetic writings and prose have touched many lives and reflects upon the inner thoughts and feelings of the soul. She wrote a great deal of her personal emotions which many identify so closely to. Her dream was to one day have her poetry published, yet died before that dream came true. But her daughter, Katie Fairchild, became her editor and published her mothers first book of poems for her in determination to fulfill her mothers dream. The only editing Katie did was type word for word of what her mother had written in long hand, and has plans to publish many more books of her mothers, as Addie Williams wrote more than 3,000 poems during her lifetime, as well as many short stories and articles.

It isn't often that someone else's words can move you, but when they do, you know you've stumbled upon an author whose merit on the page will endure far beyond themselves, not to mention always force readers to pause in self reflection. Just such a work this seems to be, and the first poems presented are thoughtful and engaging.

The poem in the preview of this book is not only well written but is evidence of a depth of soul that comes only from a wisdom of years. It is an inspireing read.

What I have seen of this book is wonderful. Beautifully written and such an inspiration to all that reads it. How sweet to publish this as a last wish. That in itself makes this book a keepsake not only for the family but for anyone with a soft spot for poets! The poetry I read was well written, thoughtful, and touching. I can't wait to read more from this author!
