I bought the book and found, unfortunately, that half of the "resources" seemed very localized to the Boston, MA area and not helpful to a New England audience. The rest of the book was field trips to an assortment of small museums and historic sites in New England and was by no means comprehensive(the largest contribution was from MA, apparently the author's home state). All were common, none stood out as new or relatively unknown. There were no suggestions about why a site might be worth visiting. If one did a search on museums of New England they would find detailed information on countless websites that are now available with comments about exhibits, classes, instructors, reviews for adults and chidlren. I didn't think the book was worth the purchase.
