If you want to get lucky in the music business then you get this book. Me and my band are just starting to think about breaking out into the charts and have found loads of tips through the guide to help us get going. There is plenty of "inside" information and it is written by a former musician so he does know what he's talking about.

This is a book that will get your band up and running and making money. I am not a geek or a nerd but taking it step by step even I can figure this out. The steps on getting more people to your web site would probably work for anyone with a web site. Once the fans see your site than getting them to buy is even easier.

I would suggest this book for anyone who is thinking of marketing their band.

It's hard to ignore the huge impact the Internet has had on nearly every existing industry (it even created a few new ones!), and the music world, while slow to catch on, is not exempt from its influence. While the "big boys" are still fighting over DRM and what they're licensing to whom, now is the *perfect* opportunity for every aspiring musician to use the World Wide Web to their advantage and gain exposure and market share. Forget spending years down on your knees begging just for an administrative assistant to hear your demo tape. Do it yourself! Ty Cohen's book is an invaluable resource for the pursuit of music stardom. You can tell he really understands the intricacies of the Internet, and he leaves no stone unturned as he takes you through the myriad of options you, as a musician, have for getting your music heard (and your records sold!). Even if you're not tech-savvy, Cohen's book is easy to follow and implement. Highly recommended!
