James Michener was so taken with the area he wrote the book "Chesapeake" about it. Seven Maryland Governors lived here, and writer John Barth based his "Floating Opera" on his childhood memories here. Inspiring views are gathered in this collection of images taken by Ginny Lloyd, a native daughter of the area. Calendar includes historical dates, upcoming events, and festivals gathered with the cooperation of the Dorchester Historical Society and the Dorchester County Tourism Department. All photographs are taken with an Olympus Stylus 400 digital camera. Be sure to check our storefront for other titles and for more information. Keywords:Listed in: |
