Description:(Book 2) Patrick and Maelduin McFaen are twin brothers growing up on a small farm in the mountains of Ireland during the Dark Ages. As they grew they began to notice that they were different from their parents. Their bodies matured faster than normal and they could hear each other’s thoughts. When their parents were killed, the twins were sold as slaves to a cruel taskmaster named Nathaniel Graves. Their servitude ends when Graves kills Patrick, sealing both their fates. As Patrick visits the various realms of death, he begins to view himself as a god, especially after his other siblings, Vincent and Valencia, tell him and Maelduin of their origins as the essences Hate and Love. Patrick also hears of a prophecy of one who is destined to rule over Haedes and is told he is the one to fulfill it. As Patrick continues to travel to Haedes through death, his choices seem set for him. Is Patrick the deity mentioned in the prophecy? Or can his brother’s undying love for him save him from a life of evil? Listed in: |
