Description:

Shane Windham's 1st poetry collection. Completed in 1998 and containing 108 poems. This one's a favorite among his teenage readers. A rare glimpse into the wonder and tragedy of a young American poet drowning in an ocean of words. WHAT READERS ARE SAYING: "A sad, yet beautiful collection of words, which show a great understanding of the human condition. I particularly liked 'What I Never Stop Missing' and 'The Virgo Misinterpretations' because of the undercurrent of poignant humour. I found there to be a deep rooted need within this poetry that winds its way throughout. Soulful."

....The preview woo'd me: I wanted to know a lot more about this male, and the facts of his life: This, a winner in a first book, though the world he suggests he lives in is so well known to me now, and not mine...

The FORM is elegant, and sincere, and breathes of a universality that I had in my younger poems that I soon lost; Shane offers pleasures in this text of skies i have lived with/do live with now, but at a distance....

How strange "Hell" is to himself and mine....
....And how intrigueing to a black/feminist/elder male, holy and in another class: but UNDERSTOOD, the WORTH of this author, so much more than the price of this book...

I suggest U buy it, I loved it....
