Description:

When a mastectomy, radiation and chemotherapy couldn’t stop Meg Wolff's breast cancer in 1999, doctors told her to “prepare her soul.” Instead, she took a leap of faith … in herself, by giving an unconventional approach – a diet based on whole grains, vegetables and beans – a try. Now vibrantly healthy, Meg is living proof that changing your diet can indeed Save. Your. Life. This is her candid story of overcoming first bone cancer and a leg amputation, then a second cancer crisis – ultimately healing herself physically and emotionally, restoring her marriage and finding happiness. With its recipes, healing menu plans and wealth of helpful resources, this book inspires others to do the same.

Becoming Whole is a beautifully written book that is at once a source for health education and a place for wisdom and inspiration. This book is a must-read for everyone facing cancer because Meg's account is informative, honest, and relatable. Furthermore, The Macrobiotic diet that saved Meg's life is for everyone who is interested in educating themselves about nutrition, the truth about what we eat, and how to live optimally. Finally, Becoming Whole is not just about cancer - it is about the journeys we must take in our lives, the battles that we never thought we'd encounter, and the determination and strength of spirit that always sees us through to the end. Meg's story is awe-inspiring, thought provoking and life changing in terms of how we live and how we love.
