English Review:

Gianna Masetti is probably one of the few (real) female veterans who played basically every MMORPG since Ultima Online. Her WebComic "The Noob" pays homage to the daily madness every online-gamer regularly experiences within MMORPG-Worlds. If you are a real MMORPG-Fan, this comic is a must-have! All in all her episodes are incredibly funny, even if some are weaker than others. Meanwhile the series has broken the 200+ episodes barrier.

In her comic you find them all: The hardcore-PVP-Veteran, young pubescent guys who play female characters and/or are looking for love in virtual worlds, hardcore Roleplayers that speak in ancient tongues, Power-Levelers, Bot- & Macro-Masters, abusive Game Masters, and last but not least TheNoob! They all appear in this great comic.

Like its author the series has developed a lot since it started. Gianna has developed several parallel plots. If you are new to the series you should start at the beginning. Otherwise you may miss some jokes as she sometimes refers to former occurrences and characters. Online World Experiences are recommended, otherwise you won't understand a lot of her jokes.

Her art got much better over time. She has her own style which looks pretty good and does the job. The book price is undoubtedly high but you get at least colored pages (however not all strips in the first book are colored; same with the original ones on the Noob Website). For a small print-on-demand book, the price is fair. Just the high post fees to Europe hurt. Full stars for this great comic! The books are a must-have for the fans of the series, for ppl who are just looking for another comic book, it's probably too expensive and they won't understand the jokes either.

Hey all I'm Deodoran of the tagboard :)
This is a great comic with many jokes that relate to MMORPG's at the web or shop like World of Warcraft, Tibia, Everquest, Ultima Online etc.
The drawings are great with nice color-using, the first few comics are written by pencil and scanner but the later ones are drawn by a different way, both are great!
The humor never ends and is always funny.
It's all easy to read and synoptic.
The words she use are great too.
So far all positive side, the negative side is very small actually NONE!
This comic is a must have to buy and I'm looking forward to more comics!
I give it a:
9.3
