The Leibold ancestry is traced back through the families of Blumenhauer, Büschler, von Gaisberg, Maurer, Holzwarth, Klinger, Lautenschläger, Lauterwasser, Öttlin, von Rossdorf, Wetzel, Wieland, Wildermuth, and Zwinckh.
