This is the first book in a series of four, when you have read this you will be compelled to read the other three. This is fantasy at its brilliant best; I guarantee you will be hooked after the first chapter of the first book.
Ron Miller is exceptional in that he writes as well as he paints and that is saying something. This is good; I mean very good and that is an understatement. When I began to read this story I was immediately drawn into a fantastical fantasy world. Inhabited by larger than life extraordinary people who do extraordinary things. I must confess to falling in love with Thud, the real world could do with a few people like him.
Ron weaves his colourful magic with every well-chosen word and I had a distinct impression that I was actually watching a movie it is so well described, this is a great adventure.
Ron Miller has created a masterpiece!
