This book gave me a feeling of connection to the characters (puppies)while at the same time it taught me a lot about how people don't really understand how deeply their pets feel. As a proverbial optimist, I want to believe in the best in people. After reading this book, I came to realize that some people really are not very sensitive nor kind. In fact, there were times when I wanted to reach into the page and grab a character to say, "You're dog is in trouble." I know that any animal lover will have a hard time putting this book down - it's a true grabber.

I couldn't put the book down. It was as if every one of the pups had been my own. I was angry, I was sad, and at times, I was happy. It's easy to see that this writer really knows her stuff and that she put her heart into it. I rate it six out of six possible warm wet noses. A great book for any pet lover.
