The Garden is one of the greatest fictional Christian Books out on the market. The writing style, plot development, and thematic messages make this one of the best books I have ever read. The story revolves around an unbeliever named Mark whom is depressed over the death of his son Jacob. This depression leads him to question both the existence of God and the point of his life. With subject matter like this it is very easy to find attributes in the character that one can relate to. The emotion behind the story is conveyed realistically as much of the feelings in book seem to be almost autobiographical in that the author went through a similar mourning for his own child.

The book does not dwell on this subject alone but rather leads the reader through various twists of the plot. Mark is confronted by Angels, Demons and even finds himself in a battle with both spiritual and physical dangers. The plot is very fast paced and suspenseful. While much of the subject matter revolves around "Christian" subjects it is seen through the eyes of an unbeliever(Though it's not a first person perspective). All of these things make it a great book for Christians, and skeptics alike. Trust me buy this book you won't regret it!
