The story follows Mark through the rigorous selection, and training courses, and his ultimate baptism into combat. His adventures are shared with the uninhibited Pete Baker, Tiekie the Bushman, determined to become a Bike Soldier, Desiree Lyonton-Smythe, who attempts to infiltrate a man’s world, Banger Lawson, a seasoned soldier, and lastly, Angelo and Dodger, Both ex-mercenaries. This not a story for the faint hearted or about war as such, but rather about a test of wills and endurance, of physical triumph, and of man’s indomitable spirit to persevere and survive in situations that would make comic book heroes look tame by comparison.
