This content from a CD-R contains a web gallery of a Viking silver hoard found in September 2007 in northern part of the island of Gotland, Sweden. The hoard consists of 69 coins and som other objects. All the 69 coins are photografed on both sides, and with information of each coin conserning minting place, dating etc. in a web gallery. The coins are from the Arabic area, as well as from Germany, England, Ireland and Scandinavia. They can be dated to the 10th and 11th C. Besides the coins, there are also a few other objects of silver in the hoard.
Besides the web gallery, there are high resolution photos of all coins for a closer study of each coin in a separat folder on the CD-R. A report of the discovery of the hoard and its content, together with a short introduction to the Viking island Gotland, is also a part of the CD-R in the form of a pdf file.
