My cousin received this book from a friend for his birthday present because he loves to read (even though he had no idea who the author was), but read it and loved it. I asked him if I could borrow his copy and he promptly told me to go get my own copy! I did, and I am in complete agreement with him. Mrs. Streeter did a wonderful job with this book.

I was surprised by this book. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but it turns out I was totally wrong in my thinking. This woman did an excellent job making me feel like I was right there in all of those places with her and Maarten, eating right alongside them. And it was very humorous as well. I really enjoyed this book.

I read Ms. Streeter's book and thought it was really good. Her style of writing makes the reader feel like her traveling companion in Italy. Bellissimo Italia was funny, entertaining, vivid and just plain fantastic. Is there anything else on the horizon, Ms. Streeter? I'm a fan.

From the moment I turned the first page, I could not put this book down. Valerie Leigh Streeter's humorous account of her Italian adventure truly captures the readers imagination, giving one the sense that they too were on the journey for each moment of the way, watching the events and adventures unfold, taking in the breathtaking scenery, and enjoying the wonderful food. It has everything: sights, smells and sounds! And much laughter! It is also a story of two people in love witnessing the romance of Italy together. It is a thoroughly enjoyable read, one that I wished would never end, and I highly recommend this book - Bellissimo!
