For a good look at relationships in your past, you should check out Mr. Molyneux's previous work, On Truth: The Tyranny of Illusion. Real-Time Relationships takes off where On Truth left off. In the first half of the book Mr. Molyneux will take you on a journey through several familiar concepts such as love, honesty, virtue, culture, integrity, and so forth. Mr. Molyneux then rocks those prior foundations with the same philosophical precision that he has used in prior books. What is left after that will be the foundation for a open, honest, and curious state that provides the foundation for the Real-Time Relationship.
Once you understand these basics Mr. Molyneux begins to supply the why and then the how of Real-Time Relationships. This is the hardest part of the book, because many people reading this book will realize just how close to home it actually hits. What happens when you are truly open, honest, curious, and vulnerable to those in your life? The sad fact is that when you become vulnerable to some people in your life, these relationships will be revealed to not be good relationships at all. Truthfully, if you have any abusive relationships, un-chosen positive obligations, or any kind of person in your life that does you harm, the Real-Time Relationship will reveal what you already know about such people in your life. Now you have the option of whether to keep them in your life or get them out of it.
So, what is the ultimate goal of this Real-Time Relationship if it involves some painful decisions and uncomfortable conversations? Mr. Molyneux quotes from the book: “Real Time Relationships helps you bring the virtue of real honesty into your relationships with your friends, family, colleagues and lovers…. This book will open your heart to the beauty of love without endless conflicts, resentments and misunderstandings.”
The gift of the Real-Time Relationship is that once you use it, you do not have to spend your precious, short life in miserable relationships. You can instead have wonderful relationships that are peaceful, joyful, and intimate.
This your life and these are your relationships, find out how to get the best out of life and your relationships with the Real-Time Relationship!
The extended version of this book is well worth the extra cost because it gives you practical examples on how to be honest with yourself, and in effect, honest with those around you.
This book has certainly changed my life for the better and continues to do so everytime I put the RTR technique into practice with myself and others.
You may feel pain when learning to be truly honest, but rest assured that the pain you feel is due to the fact that you are finally recognizing the emotional scars that you have and are finally beginning the process of healing. Carl Jung said it best, "There is no birth of consciousness without pain."
