The offshoring of manufacturing has been a common occurrence for many decades now, but until recently it did not have a large impact on the US print manufacturing industry. Globalization, improved imaging technology and a solid worldwide telecommunications infrastructure are opening the door to more and more services and products, including print, to be outsourced offshore.
