Description:

In April, 2005, H. L. Quist forecasted that the "Greenspan Plan" to stimulate the US economy would implode causing the real estate and credit meltdown experienced in 2007 and 2008. The nation is now witnessing the AFTERMATH of the Federal Reserve's flawed strategy to promote all forms of consumer borrowing and spending. As the US and much of the world grapples with the prospect of a recession or worse, a depression, H. L. Quist makes another bold forecast in GREED. The author builds a case for the possibility of an INFLATIONARY "CRACK-UP BOOM" in the near-term future. In the event that this BOOM occurs, unique opportunities and pitfalls will arise. A must read for anyone concerned about their future and their money. H. L. Quist is also the author of three other books. www.lulu.com/hlquist

I devoured your book. It was a breath of fresh air in the world of boring books published. In an age of more authors than readers, this is one I am glad I took the time to read. Your decades of experience, both good an bad, are an invaluable source of wisdom. I appreciated your personal business stories as well as a total real world comprehension of geopolitical economic themes. I was astounded at the bravery of opening up your personal life. Must read for any business person and citizen. — Tony Tardino, investor/speculator/parent/citizen

Just found time to sit down and read your book. I must say that research and attention to historic detail is outstanding and when blended with the personal touch made for a very good read. My hat goes off to you! -- Don Douglas, Former Banker and Mortgage Co. owner, Foster City, California

I have just finished reading The Aftermath of Greed by H.L. Quist. As a long-time financial advisor (see below), I think this book is critically important as a “top-shelf” read for everyone that is seriously interested in their future financial security.

The book exposes the difference between the “Wall Street Hype” distributed by main-street media (aka “politically correct”), and the huge underlying facts that fly in the face of biased information.

For the last 30 years I have advised hundreds of clients about their finances and with increasing frequency, an emphasis has been placed on what we call “safe-money” assets - to help avoid unpleasant future surprises.
I have previously served as a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association and been asked to speak or write on behalf of a number of prominent organizations including: USA Today, the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun Times, CPA Advantage Club, the National Council on Foundations, the National Association of Accountants, the National Council of CPA Practitioners and the National Society of Fund Raising Executives.

In summary, this book is a short-hand guide to understanding many complex factors that can lead to actions that result in future prosperity, instead of financial disappointment.

I just finished reading "The Aftermath of Greed..." by H. L. Quist and Wow! I am not a person who is very interested in the financial world, but this book held my interest and enlightened my understanding from cover to cover. I know now why I feel the economy is manipulated by forces beyond our control, and what to watch for as the cycle continues. I bought a copy for each of my brothers. Read it. You will be glad you did! -- Deane Stanton
