D.C. Simpson has created this collection, Insert Title Here, as a home to two years of his political cartoons, “I Drew This”. But do not think that that is all that there is in this book. D.C. has also added his political essays that were posted on his “I Drew This” website, and a few political LiveJournal entries he made.

D.C. is one of my favorite political cartoonists, because, as this book demonstrates, he uses great metaphors to help explain the absurdity of arguments, policy, Bush, etc. It is very uncommon to see this kind of wit, sarcasm, and satire anywhere these days, and perhaps that is why I read D.C.’s work.

This book also contains commentary on most if not all of the cartoons. What can I say; I am a sucker for commentary.

So, if you are a left-winger, buy this book. Buy it now. I’ll wait.
