The Seventh Eve occurs on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month and brings the Seven Sisters festival time, beginning with a folklore story over 1500 years old.

This day now also celebrates love and girls of all ages. Then on day 15 of the 7th lunar month, the Hungry Ghost Festival is celebrated with paper money fires and other offerings to ward off restless spirits, in some ways similar to the traditions of Halloween.

The activity guide includes short reading sections on different aspects of Seventh Eve, Hungry Ghost Festival, Teacher's Day, Chinese Weddings and Buddhism as well as family activities, ranging from simple to more involved activities with varying completion times from 15 to 90 minutes.
