"Puts the STING in interesting! Interesting drum beat and slow tempo. The distorted violin suits the song nicely, and the female vocals add something special. Wow, an Indian flute? This song really is a trip. Perhaps the downfall is the minimalist drumming which gets repetitive and droning. The lyrics also seem a little too morose and sappy for such a worldly/moody song. Overall a great track that is perhaps a little confused on what it wants to be. Extra Credit: Programming, Originality."--Contactjamie Chicago, Illinois August 27th, 2008

"Cool Intro...This is a good example of a song with the Blues feeling. The lyrics support the lost love theme, quite common in the blues genre. I like to find a hook that expresses the hook/theme in a way that's different non-cliche'd so-to-speak. Much passion in the vocals. Timely, haunting sax solo, it has that Neil Young purity. Good luck on your musical journey!"--Stephengernhauser Beverly Hills, California August 25th, 2008

"Catchy...The vocals are tony yet listen-able like John Lennon. The swirl really develops when the Barry comes in. I would call this New age Jazz more than Blues. Though the concept is blues this song meanders in the jazz. I like it it reminds me of Costello and Burt Bacharach. The back up vocals are well executed. I feel the production is old school but I like that. Yup I like this track The beat creates a world of direction. Barry and drums who new. "Marvelous song, original and well played...Lovely clear vocals - tuneful and very effective. I can hear some Beatles and St. Peppers influences in the vocals, interesting chord progressions and swirling backing instruments and BV's. The Sax is a nice surprise and beautifully played. I love the way it ends the song up in the air. I thoroughly enjoyed this song, the lyrics, melody, production and the playing - excellent work! "Watch Out for Those Limos...I don't sympathize with Simon Cowell but I felt like I was wearing his face as I was listening to this song, with my lower jaw hanging slightly open, kinda stunned. Very unusual, unique take on country music...I would have called it a cross between Willie Nelson and ZZ Top. The lyrics are very simplistic and down to earth. Very wide use of sounds/instruments which seemed strange but kept it interesting in a comedy sort of way. All I can say is it's a good thing you got outta that Limo. The beat was very simplistic as well. Extra Credit: Originality."--Darinporter Provo, Utah July 14th, 2008

"Keeps Listener held...This is one of the more original songs I've heard on Garageband. The arrangement is terrific.
Another strong point is the sax. Good stuff !! The entire piece of work sets a good tempo and mood from the start. Hats off to the songwriter!! The mood is set by the lyrics which are very decent. Can't say that about a lot of songs but this piece of music keeps the listener feeling what the idea being put out is. Very emotional. At 1:15, the backup vocals are great. Backup vocals are good throughout. 2:37 the sax is fantastic. Not an outstanding solo showing any versatility but matches what is playing and the mood perfectly!! Good idea...Overall, its rather good to listen to stuff that will do very well. I think in a live setting this would be very powerful. Good luck - I hope I have brought a few ideas to you. "Really cool song...really cool tone. at first i thought "ew i hate that snare sound.... (it reminded me of st.anger by metallica)" but as the actual song kicked in, i really liked the tone. the drum tone matches the crunchy guitar and soothing bass in almost key with the instruments. The vocals are very poppy and flow well with the bass. I like that the bass is the main sound, or at least louder in the mix... i find allot of groups cut out allot of bass. its good to hear talent. the guitar parts are well written for the song, no over done parts or showing off, yet great display of talent. Great place work and lead breaks. this song has a 'Dylan'ish sound to it, it reminds me of bob dylans mid 80s work. great mix and production. "Teardrop upon my pillow"
1-cool sneaky beat begins--and continues with the verse--singer sings great--but in my opinion--lyrics on the 'love song' side. but what was really cool about this tune is the use of the fiddle-sounding like the one in bob dylan's 'hurricane'--and the flute-like synths were great too"--Levavaran Freeport, New York May 17th, 2008

"Not bad...Interesting from the beginning. Not a huge fan of the effects being used and the vocals are a little harsh and off a little. The chorus is interesting, the last thing I expected to hear in this song is the sax. Not really sure it fits the mood that you have going. You certainly have an original sound, but it will not appeal to everyone, but I guess that is why you have it in the alternative rock genre. I am not sure what to make of this song. It has its strong points and weaknesses, but overall not bad. Extra Credit: Mood."--Woody414141 Lexington, Kentucky June 5th, 2008

"Progressive southern country rock...This is certainly starting with a very minimalist experimental edge.
Maybe Captain Beefheart? It has a swampy feel to it especially when the harmonica enters. The vocal is bluesy and has a country rock twang to it. Would not be out of place in Lynyrd Skynyrd or the Allman Bros. Some nice blues rock guitar playing here! I'm assuming that the lyric tells a story...but I'd have to listen to it a few times before I worked it out. Overall...an interesting sound and style that...would sit well on a southern country rock station. Extra Credit: Mood."--SeanTimms Adelaide, South Australia, Australia May 22nd, 2008

Almost reminiscent of the Velvet Underground...the vocalist, I think he's got a great sound...The female backing vocals in the second verse were a nice touch. "Unique groove, raunchy post-Dylan Dylan! The Song Snuck up on me! Nice simple melody lines hidden in speaking style vocals were very effective. Sex themes (indeed the word "sex" in the first line or so) helped to grab the attention. The only thing I'd change is make it a bit shorter... Execution-Tight, spot on from every performer. Production-Perfect: unobtrusive, delivers the song right to my ears the way it should be. A pleasure to stumble across this little gem! "Come on and rock it...I liked the old feel, the mood, and how everything played well with each other...Likes: Bass playing was solid and on groove. It just played randomly on open spots and grooved around on its own. Drums, just really didn't come in right away, but I think it worked for this song. Because when they do come in I can feel the fun in this music. Dislikes: It really dragged. It went no where and it could have gone in so many more directions...Overall: All I would say is stay in this groove...You have a lot going on for you in feel and mood...Lord Telmorn Altayon From Altayon Extra Credit: Drums, Bass, Mood."--TheGuyNextDoorWM Shirley, New York

"Psychedelic Cowboy...I like the guitar coming out in psychedelic bursts. Bluesy base...Vocals reminiscent of Johnny Cash. Lyrics remind me of some laughable modern country lyrics (I'm just a ford pick up drivin man, i'm used to shopping at the wal-mart, I wear this old stetson hat). But when contrasted with the mood of the song provide for an interesting exchange. You either have an identity crisis, or you know exactly what you want. "He could'a been a limo?' 1-ok--now this is so cool---a simple cymbal beat--a cool steady heavy guitar with occasional fills--and a very Zappa-esque vocalist--singing a whole lot of metaphors--it doesn't change too much--but no way in heck I'm anywhere near to bored--I'm captivated and hypnotized by the story , the vocalist and the contrast of simple and complex"--Levavaran Freeport, New York May 9th, 2008

"hooo-Lah-hooooo...In this one the lyrics are of the main importance; I couldn't just ignore it. It's an interesting history, and the whole point of the track resides around it, having the bass groove, and the drum beating all around the story-told vocal melodies. Only the guitar dictates almost as much as the vocals in terms of direction. This one goes from both vocal and instrumental connectivity with Gogol Bordello to a fresh beach groove from Californian Red hot Chili Peppers. A lot of points also to the Rockabilly/50's feminin 'hoola-hoo' choirs, by the way. It gives much to the music. It almost makes us miss the band when the story ends, kind of like when you go to the movies. (good guitar solo, by the way) Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Female Vocals, Guitars, Drums, Bass, Melody, Beat, Mood, Originality, Best Potential Movie Soundtrack."--Agressiv Paramos, Aveiro?, Portugal May 7th, 2008

"Full sound...The band plays together well, and the background vocals scape and break the, until then, pretty rigid rhythm. The saxophone does well to lighten the mood of the song. It's got a "devil-may-care" attitude in it's solo that both matches and matures the song's mood. The lyrics were a bit too blunt for my taste, but that's just a matter of preference, I suppose. This was a short, sweet, and smooth track. Not bad at all. Keep it up, and good luck. Extra Credit: Beat, Mood."--Fiftyways Augusta, Georgia May 8th, 2008

"Wheres my shrooms? This reminds me of Jethro Toll. Who I like but in small doses! It is one of those songs where you sit and wait for something to happen and it never really does! More about the story than the actual music. I don't really get the story either. The production isn't bad! The singer has a kind of Jim Morrison sound when he pushes his voice that would probably sound pretty cool in front of some real rock and roll!"--Funkinblue So. Cal., California May 4th, 2008

"Emerson Lake and Palmer Goes Country...First let me say that I liked the storyline of the lyric about "hometown boy meets former high school love interest who has become a rich goldigger, only to turn down her invitation to drive off into the sunset with her in a limo". The story carried me through to the end of the song...The lyric belongs in the country genre, not prog rock. Vocally, the singer sounds like Greg Lake from ELP with a southern gentleman accent. The simple chord progression has some interesting bursts of licks throughout that keep things from getting too mundane. But really the lyric is this songs strong suit..."--Atticsymphony Concord, North Carolina May 5th, 2008

"MY REVIEW...Hearkens me back to the days of the "rock musical". JCSUPERSTAR, old Meatloaf and a bit of the Doors mixed in. I think I even heard a little Grand Funk in there.
Always loved the organ intros, they set a great mood here for what is coming. The mix is good because it doesn't interfere with the message of the singer.Nicely separated in the mix. The snare does a good job of driving the tempo, just a little thin on the tone. Might be intentional, if so it works. I don't get a chance to listen to this style of music much which made it kind of refreshing. AP"--HOLLOWMANROCKS Springfield, Oregon May 4th, 2008

"It's all in the rhythm...Sounds like The Doors meets Johnny Cash. Interesting rhythm. Perfect example of "less is more". Listening to the lead, how does a guitarist show this much restraint. He comes in for a quick lead break then just hangs back and let's the vocal take over. It's a great song, So great I had to listen to it a couple of times. Simple yet powerful. The lead breaks lend a lot of feeling to it. Extra Credit: Guitars, Originality."--Joker4ever April 30th, 2008

"Acoustic post-punk...Melodramatic acoustic guitar and voice are quite arresting, along with some odd sound effects in the background. The song builds to quite a catchy chorus (with good back-up vocals) but I don't think this is enhanced by the saxophone line. The sax works better where it weaves in and out of the song-structure, at counterpoint to rather than in competition with the vocals. Seems like a good song, sung with gusto and conviction. I think it would benefit from some revamping of the arrangement and production. Extra Credit: Guitars, Mood, Originality."--Stuartr Tromso, Norway April 24th, 2008

"Vocals put on the very foreground...Starts with a special drum rhythm. Then vocals start, put on the very foreground, a characteristic voice. I like the move of the guitars, accords flow around in a original way. The sound is full, there is a clear theme in it. The manipulated background choir is fantastic, followed by a solo saxophone. This all gets repeated one time more and ends with the saxophone.
There is a very good balance in the song. I like the lead vocals and especially the way it is put on the foreground (louder then the rest). Everything is very clear in this (theme) and the saxophone gives another move in it. So I just like this.
