I'm not sure having a sock monkey guarding your tape measurer is the best idea in the world. After all, tape measurer's tend to get in enough trouble on their own. The monkey's right ear hides the tail of the tape measurer. Just press the center of his back and the tape curls back inside!

All you need to make this pattern is a round tape measurer (about 2 1/4 inches in diameter - or across), and 10 mm sew-on google eyes. I used Lion Brand's Wool Ease yarn and a size G hook. I used VERY small amounts of yarn to make these, so it's a GREAT stash-buster! A quick, easy project for those who need instant gratification!!

Finished items not recommended for children; a)if you use google eyes, they can be chewed off and pose a choking hazard; b) my kids have broken more tape measurers than I care to remember by pulling them as far out as they can and then some.
