She has won the hearts of all her subjects, both at home and in the Colonies, and her name is mentioned with respect and admiration by all who speak the English tongue.It will now be our pleasure to trace out the story of her life, to mark the course of events in the history of her reign, and to describe the part taken by the Queen in the life and fortunes of the nation. We shall then be better able to appreciate her high character, to feel grateful to God for giving us such a ruler, and to profit by her good example.
