Description:

The Battle at Clapp's Mill is another event in North Carolina, during the American Revolution, specifically - the Southern Campaign. This battle occurs after the Race to the Dan, as Cornwallis retreats to Hillsborough, then to the Alamance, and Tarleton clashes with Patriot forces. Read about this very large contingent of men, what occured and where this occured. Included in this book is a complete overview of the battle, along with new USGS maps, diagrams and modern views of where we believe this battle occured in Alamance County (today) (Orange Co. during the Rev. War). Updated with information about the 23rd a foot, and 1939 aerial photo of the battle site.
