The first of a series of 4 volumes,listing all satellites currently in orbit and those which have previously orbited the Earth. All large objects having been given a space object number (whether a payload, platform, rocket or debris) is listed. The catalogue is correct at the time of publication (March 2008) but will soon become dated as new satellites are launched and others decay or are destroyed. The volumes are intended mainly as reference manuals for Visual Satellite Observation enthusiasts and are NOT for general reading!
