The first official meeting with the local merchants took place April 14, 2003 at the organization's headquarter and attended by several local business owners and community leaders in which the need of the merchants were discussed and strategize by the audience and documented by myself and use it as the basis of the development of the strategic plan for the structuring of what eventually became the Greater Merchants Association.
