Description:

**Reduced** Was $16.00 now $12.99!** Dealing with the raw emotion that stemmed from low self-esteem, self-isolation, depression, abandonment, death, angst, anger, love, passion, hope and elation, Karen Koski's use of poetry as a means of expression and therapy leads to a roller coaster ride that leaves you wanting for more. Eluding to the moon in many of her works as well as the nature that surrounds us all she creates a distinct mature and explicit atmosphere to allow the reader to relate to each poem individually. Being that a tapestry expresses a story or tale through means of weave, Karen has attempted to “weave” multiple stories using verse with the works of Tennyson, Byron, Wordsworth and other such Classical poets in mind, while adding a modern day twist. Her themes are common emotions we have all experienced at some point in time, while her use of language, intricate detail and ability to create illusions and images within the mind's eye makes “A Moonlit Tapestry” a fantastic journey.

A Moonlit Tapestry [ No Rating ] 1 Jul 2006
Karen Koski is surely an artist who speaks from the heart and the gut. Her words at times sting, and at times tug at the heartstrings. Her words are so easy to indentify with since she echoes so many feelings we have all gone through, love, loss of love, feelings towards the beauty of nature etc.
A really moving read, i highly recommend this beautiful book, and the cover artwork is captivating. As she says,,in "Tick Tock"
"time runs short"

and she is right,,we need to make the most of it, and as a writer she makes the most of her time and experiences by sharing those moments in words that capture our emotions.

Melancholy at it's best, Karen Koski has captured the true spirit of poetry with her writings. A Moonlit Tapestry is esthetically written conveying feelings most of us hide in day to day life. Composed beautifully, this is angst we can all relate to. Her words are haunting and they elegantly potray both darkness and light. Not only is the cover captivating, the contents will also catch your eye.

Beautiful cover. The poetry that I did read was so heartfelt. You can feel the angst, the overpowering need to quit. So many good poets come from the fact that they are all hurting, and to get over that hurt, they put it into words. Karen did just this, and the result was beautiful.

This book of poetry is outstanding. Karen puts into words all the things that many of us dare not speak of. Instead we bottle them up and suffer the consequences. Just reading this work brings to mind the events of my past that caused me much pain and suffering, but also reminded me of how I got through it and survived. This is inspiring and thought provoking and gives one the strength to carry on knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Bravo Karen.

“A truly magnificent and talented writer, Karen has captured both amazing visionary images and a nice transition of verses into her poetry. Each line flows gracefully like a ballerina through an intricate dance. Both a imaginative and spiritual delight, I would recommend her poetry to anyone who loves titillating the senses through words.” Shannan Strickland
