Printed: 196 pages, 6" x 9", perfect binding, black and white interior ink Description:In 1981 as a mere stripling youth, the author started to write to Radio 2's Terry Wogan, the second greatest living Irishman. Since then, he has kept up a barrage of communication with the "great knight" and, as Old Tel has used the author's stuff in HIS books, this is a chance to get his own back and finally tell the truth about being a WUTW scriptwriter. So, in these pages you will find the true yet sometimes tedious story of the author's "relationship" with Terry Wogan, from 1981 through to his all conquering Wake Up To Wogan programme and beyond, with previously unpublished photographs, the true story of the TWITS, tales of the live TV programme, drunken lunches, emails and, as an extra added plus, the unbroadcasted Toggy Panto in full. A treat for the author, if nobody else, and a way into and out of the mind of somebody who regularly writes to the World's Second Greatest Living Irishman. Keywords:Listed in: |

Who, you ask?
Terry Wogan. "Veteran" broadcaster. BBC Light Programme. Mondays to Saturdays, seven 'till nine.
Oh...............you mean the OTHER one.
Len 'Orrible. Scriptwriter. Unpaid. Quite witty, really............has his moments.
Here, for the first time, read Len's "rags to rags" story of his association with Britain's favourite breakfast show on the wireless.
Gasp with amazement as dark secrets are revealed.
Scatch your head in confusion as you follow the plot.
Cry out in amazement "Doesn't he look young there?" as you look at the pictures.
If you want a real insight into the world of sex, drugs and rock and roll that is the BBC Light Programme................buy Johnnie Walker's autobiography istead.
So, pick up your slippers, fill up your pipe, sup up your Horlicks..............and welcome to Cardigan country!!
It's a great read. I couldn't put in down. Not until I'd finished the job in hand, anyway.
And it mentions me, twice.
So, for all ye fans of Jerry Logan, of the Radio 2 breakfast show past and present, for aspiring comedic scriptwriters everywhere, BUY THIS BOOK.
It is really a rather jolly wheeze.
