Well organized, concise and informative. Comprehensive references to published materials are supported by an excellent selection of individual resumes and an extensive index of place and name associations. Although it is fun to read, perhaps the greatest benefit of this book will be realized as an aid in Caomhánach family history study, where it offers ready facts and sources.
James J. Kavanagh, Genealogist for Clann Chaomhánach - Michigan, USA

A concise guide to the Kavanagh clan from the 12th century to the present day. Including a unique reference to people and places, historical documents and papers. An interesting and useful guide to further research. A must have!

This is an excellent resource book for those seeking background information on, or researching, the C/Kavanagh Clann. Packed with a variety of reference works, biographical snippets and interesting extracts, anyone interested in this often controversial Irish family will find something to intrigue them or spur them to further research.
Patricia O'Shea - New Zealand

What an extraordinary gift Jimmy Kavanagh has given us "Caomhanachs" with the publication of his exhaustively researched and brilliantly organized compilation of facts and features associated with the family name. Surely every Caomhanach Christmas Tree will be the prouder this Season with a gift-wrapped copy of Kavanagh's book nestled near.
