From The Dark Side gives us a painful, angry, love-based, and oft times funny glimpse into what being a black man REALLY feels like. A. Shakur Towns and his wife Nikki have four daughters. They live in Trenton, NJ. Shakur is a graduate of Lincoln University's MHS Program, where he received his Master of Human Services degree in 2002. He is currently a Program Coordinator for a corrections/mental health project.
