For people who are fans of KC Green and of Cat this is a brilliant buy, the art is of terrific quality and the writing is just plain cool. KC Green seems to learn a new and original way to draw CAT each panel.
I only wish that the stories were a bit more "definitive" and it seems unfortunate that one of the stories is a reprint (although I had never read it so that barely matters).
Seeing the sketches that spawned the web comic is a definite plus as well.

There will be a time in the future, where a lot more people will know who KC Green is. He is either going to become a famous comic artists, a famous animator or a famous comedy writer.
Today, you can read his first printed solo work. you can also visit his website www.rumblo.com and see exactly the thing I'm talking about.
KC Green's "Cat! Smile Big" is about Cat and his mouse sidekick (Bosley) and a few other recurring characters. It seems pretty standard fare on the face of it until you read past the table of contents.
But then the first story starts and you realize that Cat and Bosley are playing in the alley behind an Italian restaurant pretending to be characters from "Law and Order" ... and then it gets wierder.
"Cat! Smile Big" is a collection of short stories, involving goth, greek mythology, mainstream pop culture and bizarre free association that only true genius can create.
Who would like this? I think fans of Matt Groenig, Ren and Stimpy, Sergio Aragones, The Tick, Kyle Baker, Ragmop ... oh, there's so many. KC Green eventually will make everyone laugh...if one joke doesn't hit you, the next one might.
Full Disclosure: I helped KC put this book together. I do not have a financial stake in his sales, though. I helped him get this printed so that the world can own a little piece of the genius that is KC. I've been a comic book fan for many years, and there are very few people out there with his ability to both tell a fantastic story with great pacing and hilarious dialogue.
