As I think about the imposing road that lays before me, I'm keenly aware of one person who exemplifies all that I want to be: my dad. In Philippians 3:17 Paul says, “Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.” I want to imitate my dad and walk in his example. He's my friend, my hero, my mentor, and I want to be like him. If I can be one half the husband and father that he is, I'll be in good shape. No single person influenced me to follow Jesus Christ more than my dad. Throughout my life he was a faithful evangelist, counselor, friend, father, and pastor to me. Keywords:Listed in: |
