I had the honor of publishing Awake Ghost Song by Burgess and published her as lead author on Tabloid Purposes 3. Some might wonder why I did that -- when I picked up her collection from the main site and I am impressed with the fact she could do the poetry as well as her ability to carry the scares on a larger level. I got to read over some of the titles on the roster, and I was already familar with a good number of them because I either appeared with the authors on an anthology at one point or seen them on the House of Pain.
Donna sent me a huge stack of the titles in the catalog for Gothicfest 2007 and this book was one of the books that made its way in the mail stack. I ordered this book up for myself because I knew Donna wants me to also buy the books too. I kept Edwin Grey, Zombies II, and The Wave. Donna has a good eye for talent too when she publishes other writers. Her works here are some of her most darkest I've seen in a long time, and cements the fact why she does Poe Little Thing and The Blue Lady. What impressed me with her is that she's been doing the publishing thing as long as I've kept a website. What I think of this one? Donna has an imagination and in this is the essence of the entity called The Blue Lady. i am tempted to write a Blue Lady story for her magazine with her blessing I want to bring the character into the Windy City.
