...you don't need this book. Most of the text in this book (and e-book) is in the help files of his software and on regular-expressions.info, too.
There are no bookmarks or links in the PDF (which is not really an e-book - but that's good:)
I was not pleased to find that I paid for quite a bit of advertising in the middle of his book. Page after page of product talk is disgusting. The only thing missing was the "Buy Now!" links on the website. Happily, I bought the e-book version for $12, so I'm not out too much.
Even the examples in the book are identical to the website and help files in EditPad Pro, RexExBuddy, and PowerGrep.
So I'm not to be misundersood here: Jan Goyvaerts really knows his stuff when it comes to any of the software he authors, and I have licenses for several of his apps. All his software products are quality products and should not be judged by this publication. Goyvaerts is truly an expert with regex, and apparently fluent in quite a few different programming languages besides my beloved Delphi.
But a big thumbs down on the book. My criticism is from a publishing and consumer's viewpoint, and not about the accuracy of the content. Sorry, Jan, but that's the way I see it.
