Five long years have passed since the events in The Merdog's Realm took place. Juliet Fairisle has graduated from university and is now working as an artist. But after a mysterious fire in her studio, plus death threats and break-ins, she realizes that someone is after a precious item that she possesses - the Merdog Amulet.
