I thought the girls on the front cover were out of place for what looked to me to be some kind of technical book on how Saddam planned to nuke the US. But after reading it.. It starts with a hightech "chopper" chasing an Arab terrorist cell in NYC and killing most of them. But one (the bad guy in the book) gets away. Then it sort of slowed down while the story was being set up. The rest of the things that happen really make you think. This could really happen. The lady bad guy (I think it's the girl in black on the cover) meditates and converses with Shaman's (she's a Native American mix).In this dream world many of the issues she is facing get addressed and she changes her attitudes. She has these dreams/meditation things just a couple of times. (I'd love to learn how to do that). The fact that the climax happened at "Harborfest" during fireworks with 250,000 people watching them and the fact that this could actually happen is scary, but intriguing. Who could ever guess a disaster of that proportion could happen there and then?
It all seems plausable although fortunately, very unlikely. Like I said it's slow at first but once it gets going, it keeps you wondering. OH and the sex scenes, Did I mention sex? Well they are just enough to make you want to know more about what was really happening in them. ( I so want that massage). The thing to look for is the interaction of the people. Those little moments make you believe.
I give it 5 stars because it is written like a story being told. This is good it's just not a work of literature, but it does work, and I reccommend it, (and the massage too).
