This CD is a wonderful companion to Mike Parker's 'Child of Pure Harmony: A source-book for the single action harp'. These video clips illustrate the evolution of the single harp (views of period instruments and detail of the variety of string mechanisms) and show period ornamentation (appoggiaturas, trills, etc.). The variations in hand position, pedalling and fingering which are described in the book will be particularly helpful for the harpist.
