‘The Seiners’ by Anastasia Cassella-Young is a wonderful tale of the old-fashioned ways of the fishermen in Maine. I believe all books, all works of literature, take the reader somewhere, but this one blew me out of the water! As a proofreader, I was so involved, that I didn't check the first several pages and had to go back! It will get you from the very start and keep you there! It will make a great movie! The ending is one of the best I've ever read!

'The Seiners' by Anastasia Cassella-Young, can be described using a single word… AWESOME. The first few chapters of Anastasia's book vividly set the stage as well as the storyline; and they do so in a way that gradually snares the reader's curiosity.
On the one hand, 'The Seiners' is a tale familiar to many immigrant families of the early-mid 1900's that made a livelihood fishing the coastal waters of Maine. On the other, it is a tale of mystery, managing more than enough suspense to thrill any audience. From the dedication page to the very last, Anastasia's book repeatedly touches the heart as it takes the reader through a multitude of predicaments ranging from hardship to riches. In authoring 'The Seiners', Anastasia Cassella- Young has penned not only an outstanding tribute to her Dad; she has transformed imagination and emotion into a pleasurably rewarding read.

The dignity that Johny's mother showed in her final hours leads you into this wonderful tail of the struggle one man must do to help his family. A very engaging read.
