Very well researched with good descriptions. Found works and write ups that can't be found from other sources. Highly recommended!

This book is an exceptional resource. The index of artists at the beginning of the text makes it easy to use, the glossary of terms and time periods at the end of the book make it comprehensive and complete. Biographies on the artists are well written and the artwork is astounding! Definately worth the investment. :)

Art education at its finest!

I recently became very interested in 20th century art. Though my current budget doesn't allow me to purchase anything from Baterbys, I can still appreciate and learn about my favorite artists through this book.

It's an awesome read! Buy it if you're into art...don't just get your feet wet, dive in!
