The introduction to the world of Dark Refuge. Teresa Laughlin is a Gunpod pilot with the EEF in the days before Earth fell to the Iron Republic of Mars. In the Iron Republic's final attack, Teresa is separated from her squad and abandoned in the ruins of Earth. Along with the crew of the spaceship Mary Jane, Teresa must follow the retreating Earthers to the an insignificant colony on the edge of known space, a planet called Refuge. There the final battle of the Intergalactic Civil War will be won or lost all on the actions of a single lost pilot.
