Printed: 40 pages, 6" x 9", perfect binding, black and white interior ink Description:Lyrics-as-verse of the quixotic troubador. Jamie Dyer, singer-songwriter and visionary, prophet of the dusty mainstreet and disused tobacco-barn, seer a-far and speaker a-near, broke bad on Cville Downtown in the early 1990s with a small combo that was soon to become legend and legion in this tawdry burg: The Hogwaller Ramblers. Here, reprinted from the early edition, lyrics to a few of his songs, presented in this slim volume as the clever and powerful verse they are--words to make Jim Morrison blench, to send Dylan-Cohen-Brel scampering for cover. A friend of the Press and a prime-mover in the creation of our bohemian downtown subculture... Jamie at MySpaceJamie DyerListed in: |

Mr. Dyer has obviously looked at far too much Thomas Hart Benton and read too much O. Henry but I do admire the homage that he gives to Bukowfsky (or whatever that guy's name was) in his songs. Old World and New World collide to give rise to a world called "Holy Baloney! Who Stole My Kultur?"
