Description:I know many talented musicians, some of them talented enough to be stars. All those who do make it to the top have one thing in common, they understand that there are two elements that make it possible for them to reach the top: talent and business savvy. I can’t help them with the talent part, they either have it or they don’t; but the business savvy-now that’s where I can help them. - Tom Sabella Keywords:Listed in: |

This book is a great tool for any musician whether you're just starting out or already a seasoned touring artist. It relates perfectly how your music ministry is also your own business, and it gives you the understanding of how to run it successfully. I highly recommend it!

As I read Tom's book, I thought back on my own musical experience and the growing pains of trying to make it into the music business. Some of the things we went through and learned the hard way are spelled out in this book so one won't have the headache of hit and miss experiments. Tom's book is easy to read, easy to understand and an invaluable tool for todays musicians.
In a world of more talk then substance, Tom Sabella stands on his own as being a leader who isn’t ashamed of skipping the fluff and telling the artist exactly what needs to be heard. His eye for talent is paramount in relating your natural abilities to the know-hows of the music business. An industry which can seem like a formidable barrier to someone spreading their art expression is more clearly guided by the wisdom found in this book. Simply put, this book is a must for every serious musician.
Tom Sabella has written a help book that every muscian needs to market himself successfully. It is a common-sense approach in everyday language on how to be in charge of your music career from the very beginning. I consider a "must read" book for a muscian in any genre.

Tom Sabella has spent most of his life living, learning, and sharing these foundational basics of the music business with others; he's further practiced them himself with great results. His own successes [and disappointments] have helped many young bands and inspiring artist to get a little further ahead by gleaning from his own experiences. I highly recommend this book for anyone just getting started in music. Tom's experience shared in this book could save you some unnecessary frustration by not having to learn everything the hardway on your own.
There are many entertainment industry business books out there and I found this one to cut right to core of what many musicians/bands either don't think about or take for granted. Many people can learn from this author's experience and business driven thinking. This book was a quick and easy read. I highly recommend it!
