The concept was inspired by the aftermaths of several recent world disasters including the tsunami and hurricane Katrina. Ginger Mayerson sent out notices requesting recipes from bloggers around the world. People who blogged contributed their recipes for salads, appetizers, drinks, main course, as well as essays on a variety of food subjects. Recipes include Guacamole Deviled Eggs, Bread Rolls with Sundried Tomatoes and Walnuts, Warm Blackberry and Shiraz Soup, Eight Treasure Duck, Leek and Goat Cheese Tast, Chocolate Biscotti, Ginger Peach Iced Tea, and more. The book has some illustrations. The blogger contributers are listed in the back. There is room to add your own notes.
