A Heart that Waits [ No Rating ] 7 Jul 2006
I had the pleasure of being her Beta reader for this story. Its seems like a life time ago. So when I got her email about her Book release party I came here and ordered the book. I can't believe that she got it published!!! Good job Gabrina, I can say I knew you when. :) This story is captivating to say the least. Its well written, her original characters provide challenges to Erik. But most importantly our beloved Erik finally gets what he has been longing for, love. This is highly recommended. If you haven't purchased it do so NOW!!!! You will not regret.
Erik will knock your socks off ! [ No Rating ] 24 Apr 2006 (updated 24 Apr 2006)
A wonderfully enthralling read. From the very start the reader is sucked into the tumultuous and self absorbed life of Erik Kire; well known composer, fabulous musician, and ex-Phantom of the Opera. Into the mix comes his eight year old son Alexandre who is very much like his father and quite the outspoken young man - much to the chagrin of his father! Erik's neightbor Julia becomes very close friends with Erik, and why not since he once did her a huge favor; a favor that set her free from the miserable prison her life had become. This book has everything that makes for a fantastic story: romance, drama, humor, angst, mystery, and love as only Erik Kire knows how to dole out. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

A Heart that Waits is the story that introduced me to Gabrina Garza's wonderful world of The Phantom. Forget those juvenile attempts at fan fiction, this is a well-written, well-crafted work that you can really sink your teeth into. Her characterizations are first rate, and the story will keep you reading past your bedtime. Very highly recommended!
Erik as you've never seen him before! [ No Rating ] 5 Apr 2006
Gabrina Garza is a master storyteller who knows how to pull heartstrings. She takes the Phantom of the Opera's Erik character out of the basement and into the world to face the trials and tribulations of finding and keeping love--the love of a woman, of a family, and of self. Gabrina introduces her own cast of supporting characters to challenge, annoy, and fall in love with Erik. You will, too. I swear.
