I graduated college thinking I would work in television or radio but the call of profits over rode the love of my art. But that could never be, that is why I write. I write to explain some things I've seen that shouldn't be and to call some things into existence even though I see them not. I wrote my first several chap books thinking that some publisher would see the brilliance of my writing or my sublimital wit but that never happened. I published my first book A New Peace Of Mind through Publish America. It is still available on Amazon.com . I make two great errors in my work and still call it poetry. One I talk about God as if he were more present than my audience, and two,
just listen to a sample of my old work:

art

Love is more fleeting to the heart than time is

To the eye

Why

Seems like all I get to keep is

Summed up in my memories

And life true life seems to escape me

Of true life it seems I've been castrated

Banned incessantly against my will

To only see and speculate but never

To alleviate the mundane and create

Spontaneity

If I lost my legs

I would fly to you

Cause I know like God's Love

My faith in you shall never fail.

Like a lion to a leopard

And a dove to a quail

Your love could quench

The fires of hell,

It's so sweet, it's like

Bail, when you ain't even 'spose

To be in jail.

It's like tenderloin washed down

By lager ale.

To the French, it's like snails

A deliquesce to be devoured

With the choicest of red wines,

That's what your love is in my mind.

The poetry in this book is well written! The author makes you think about the things in life we all take for granted. It makes you question your spirituality and really think about life based on the bible. This book also talks about love, friendship, honor, truth and God. Watch out! It's not watered down or for the weak minded. Its raw because its real. Read it and think outside the box.

Sitting in the dark pondering
What is art
And in the mind how is it perceived
Looking at the wall
Which holds my bachelor’s degree
With all the rights and privileges
I do infer upon you
This bachelor’s of Arts
In Communication Studies
And I thought
What is that?
I went through that
So that I may have some letters
Upon which my words may rest
Other than the word of God.
I think out loud
And it’s true some of these things
Should not be said.
But it is kinda like growing up
In pharaoh house when your lot in life
Was to be a Tut-Moses
And your first love was the computer
Because it broke everything down into
Binary digits, zeros and ones
But to me it was like
X’s and O’s
I died two thousand years ago
When I laid down my life with Christ
Now the people treating my words like
Now the world looking at me like I was
Sipping tea with Solomon’s Seal and
Chamomile playing the God child
With unique thought and design
To reconstruct your psyche’
Without an apology
Cause I did it in the metaphysical
Frequency of the word of the most ancient
Divine Creator of mankind
In his infinite design of genius.
Why did I strive to become this metaphysical
King Midas
Like everything I touch turns to the
The Most High’s.
Why did I strive to become this metaphysical
King Midas
like everything I touch turn to God’s.
Are you hearing me yet
Or do you need to see if I am Sol Lord On?
Or some ancient manifestation of the true
Ank-Aton?
Who bore upon his shoulders
the true Government of God,
and encoded it in the teachings of the Sun
so it could not be understood by the profane.
They would cast it off as mundane
and not to be hearkened until the Sun
became darkened as a Sackcloth of hair.
And they will remember revelations
And the sayings of Jesus to John on the island of Patmos
With plagues and natural occurrences that slay more than
A hundred and fifty thousand,
In the eyes of God, Liberati
Was a sodomite.
You know the people who use the anus for sex.
In the minds of man lacks no room for
Ill inventions.
Remember the Lord look at the hearts of man
And found that it was full of wicked inventions
Power mad people still full of corruption
If you are born to rule then you are
going to be judged in the court of
Public opinion.
It’s a damn shame what happened to
Chi Ali?
Shoot a guy over an argument
At his old apartment and now he’s incarcerated.

I plan on looking back in retrospect at my past year.
I plan on climbing stone mountain, and travelling to places known and well travelled. I will begin writing the treatment for my next book, and type the first page. This is how I plan and write my books. I will let you come with me intellectually, riding on the most wonderous journey of the heart and mind to behold timeless beauty and ancient treasures enveloped in satire and rhyme. This is what I wish to do with you as time goes on and we grow together as author and audience. A most cherished and prized relationship in prayer and thought...

My name is Timothy J. Squires I. I am a student of religions and world views both past and present. I tried to write the most prolific eternal work of art of the twenty first century while keeping it as simple and childlike as possible to hold true to the words of Christ 'that you must be as this little child to enter into the kingdom of God.' I have embedded the greatest pearls of wisdom I have ever found in the text of these pages that have travelled with me over the past seven years as a testimony to my son and a handbook to my pupils, while being an everpresent comfort as you embark with me on my many journeys of mind and foot through the psyche' of an african american male bent on the kingdom of God existing , not to be trodden under foot by men. It is both prophetic and engaging, I hope you enjoy it and it truly gives you a New Peace Of Mind.
