Stacey Chillemi is a young writer, speaker and leader in the epilepsy community. She is a Christian, who went on a spiritual journey, found her place in the world and most importantly, discovered Jesus' relevance for everyday life. This book, in its own elliptical way, tells the tale of that journey. Her style of writing enlightens and her poetic analysis of life as a Christian personally revealing rather than profoundly insightful. As such, it offers a postmodern riff on the classic evangelical presentation of the Gospel, complete with a concluding call to commitment. Written as a series of short essays on vaguely theological topics (faith, grace, belief, love, life, happiness), and disguised theological topics (magic, romance, ETC), it is at times plodding or simplistic, and sometimes falls into merely self-indulgent musing. But more often Chillemi is enjoyably clever, and her poetic story is telling and beautiful, even poignant. From the Publisher
This book has been selling well and the positive feedback we have received is unbelievable.

From the Author
All my life, I have worked very hard writing books, articles, stories, going to TV interviews, going to washington to talk in front of congress and doing seminairs to help others empower themselves.
I wrote this poetry book to bring faith, courage wisdom strength and hope into people's lives. And for people who have those qualities already I hope to enlighten your life, to increase your happiness and help you feel the love that God's sends us daily.

How do we know Christ loves us? How do we know when the love of God shines the room with his love and floors us with his presence?

My Lord I love you What can I give you my lord? You have given the world You have floored me with your presence. How? By surrounding me with wonderful people who care for me Love me How do I know you watch over me? I know because your love shines my room each morning with your presence You have blessed my life with the gifts you have given me What gifts? The gift of giving To share my love with others The ability to share myself with the world around me. To share the words of Christ that lay in my heart Through my actions that lie in my spirit.

A poetic and inspirational book by a prominent author, which uses hertalent in writing and (often inspiring and motivational) anecdotes to show us why we're so lousy at predicting what will make us happy - and what we can do about it. Most of us spend our lives steering ourselves toward the best of all possible futures, only to find that tomorrow rarely turns out as we had expected. Why? When people try to imagine what the future will hold, they make some basic and consistent mistakes. Just as memory plays tricks on us when we try to look backward in time, so does imagination play tricks when we try to look forward. Using the magic of poetry, much of it original, Chillemi shakes, cajoles, persuades, motivates and inspiries us into accepting the fact that happiness is not really what or where we thought it was. Among the unexpected questions she poses: Why are conjoined twins no less happy than the general population? When you go out to eat, is it better to order your favorite dish every time, or to try something new? If Ingrid Bergman hadn't gotten on the plane at the end of Casablanca, would she and Bogey have been better off? Smart, witty, accessible and unique, this poetry book brilliantly describes all that poetry has to tell us about the uniquely human ability to envision the future, and how likely we are to enjoy it when we get there. --Editorial Review

Keep the Faith: To Live and Be Heard from the Heavens Above is a fresh vision of the primary importance of faith in our lives, especially for those who feel powerless as strangers in a chaotic land. Diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of five, Stacey Chillemi was gifted with the need to find tools to help her cope with active life in a world which did not understand. Now, as a wife and a mother of three, Stacey reaches out to help others in need of such tools. Her own story is one of struggle, valor, and victory, with faith as her anchor amidst the storms of survival. Stacey Chillemi's book is well written, easy to read and understand, and will be helpful to all readers. --Ted L. Glines
